一、雅思写作中的改写-范例

Example: Paraphrasing is one of the most important skills to learn before doing your IELTS test.

Paraphrased: Prior to taking the IELTS test, mastering paraphrasing is one of the most crucial things to do.

这里，大可以发现，二句话使用同义词来改变一些词汇，例如important和crucial，prior和before.同样也可以改变语法，例如 (e.g., Paraphrasing is one of the most important skills” for “mastering paraphrasing”)）当然，改变词序也是一种途径。

二、雅思写作的改写-方法

雅思写作的改写方法1：使用同义词

Method Number 1: Using Synonyms

For example:

My car needs petrol.

My vehicle requires fuel.

As you can see, I have replaced 3 out of four words with synonyms to produce a new sentence, with the same meaning as the first one. 这里同学们可以发现，我们改变了四个词语中的三个，从而做到改写。

这是改写句子有效的方法，当然大问题是有同学改写成相似的意思，而不是完全一致的意义的单词，具体可以参照上期文章（向同义词说No）

雅思写作的改写方法2：改变词序

Method Number 2: Change the Word Order

改变词性也是一种好用的方法，当然在计划证语法结构正确的情况下。可以选择添加词语，删减词语，或者改变单词的形式）

1.如果原句是主从复合句，那么很容易改变句子的顺序。

Question: As languages such as Spanish, Chinese and English become more widely used, there is a fear that that many minority languages may die out.

Paraphrased by changing word order: There is a fear that many minority languages may die out, as languages such as Spanish, Chinese and English become more widely used.

也可以通过增加同义词来进行改写，如下句话所示：

Paraphrased with changing word order AND synonyms: There is di*ay that many lesser used languages may pass away, as languages such as Chinese, English and Spanish become more broadly spoken.

如果句中有一个形容词或者名词，那么可以把这个形容词改成关系从句，

Question: Learning to manage money is one of the key aspects to * life.

Paraphrased using a relative clause: Learning to manage money is one of the aspects to * life that is key.

雅思写作的改写方法3：改变词性

Method Number 3: Change the Form of the Word

Question: Longer life spans and improvements in the health of older people suggest that people over the age of sixty-five can continue to live full and active lives.

Paraphrased by changing word form: Longer life spans and improvements in the health of older people are suggesting that people over the age of sixty-five can continue living full and active lives.

雅思写作的改写方法4：主动改被动

Method Number 4: Change from Active to Passive

The passive voice is often used in academic writing and can therefore be used in the IELTS academic writing test. Only verbs with an object can be turned into the passive.被动语态常常出现在学术写作，因此雅思写作亦是如此。只有接宾语的动词才能改成被动语态。

Example active: The property developers invested $20 million in the development of the shopping centre.

Example passive: $20 million was invested in the developments of shopping centre.

在学术写作中使用被动语态往往是因为作者不想表达这是自己观点

Example active: People say that global warming is caused by the burning of fossil fuels.

Example passive: Global warming is said to be caused by the burning of fossil fuels.
