1. How often do you write an email?
I don’t really write emails quite often, to be honest. My friends and I mostly chat on WeChat, or we’ll even call each other sometimes. If I need to write an email, it’s always for my school work. And I basically write one or two emails a week.
2. Who do you always write to?
Whenever I send emails, it’s usually to my teachers/coworkers. I often need to write emails to ask them about the assignments/work tasks. Luckily, my teachers/coworkers usually reply quickly so I can get answers on time. I don’t think I really write emails to anyone else.
3. Do you think it’s important to reply to emails quickly?
Yes, I definitely think it’s important to reply to emails quickly. It shows you are reliable and you are polite to the senders. Yo u don’t want to waste other people’s time. If you take a long time to write back, they may think you’re disrespectful of their time.
4. Do you prefer contacting others by text messages or emails?
I definitely prefer text messages. Most of my friends don’t even check their emails quite often, so it’s easier to contact them over text. Plus, emails are really formal. I feel like texts are more personal and you don’t have to be as serious.
5. Is there an email that made you happy recently?
Well, just two weeks ago, I received an offer of admission email (or “job offer email”). I’ve been expecting it from the university (or “company”) for months. And when I saw the email, I was really happy because it was definitely good news for me.
